Welcome

Dow Corning Ltd. was a silicone manufacturer based in Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. It is now part of Dow.

The Retirees Association was set up 30 years ago as a social organisation to keep those who worked at DC in touch with each other by holding regular meetings, organising social events and producing a regular Newsletter.

The website is designed to keep members in touch with the DCRA, and with each other.

At the AGM on 2nd September 2013 the DCRA Constitution was updated and members discussed the concept of a new Friendship Group.

It also contains useful information for retirees, such as the Penquin Tax Planning Brochure, Fire Safety information and, from the latest quarterly meeting, the Cyber Security Awareness Presentation (Please be aware, the ownership of the presentation remains with the writer Gareth Baker and Dow Corning therefore it should not be distributed without first of all gaining permission from Gareth Baker at Dow Corning.)
